Q. How much does it cost to design a typical logo?
A. This question is like asking your realtor "How much does this house cost?" There are many other expenses associated with buying a house than just the cost to buy a house. Creating a logo depends on several different factors.  We must know several things before we can answer this important question intelligently. All the following information will enable us to provide you with the best possible pricing available.

What type of logo?
Original, copyrighted, simple, or detailed.
How many colors will you be wanting?
One or more colors or greyscale.
Will this logo be printed, used on the web, or both? Scope of the job, output format.
What final sizes are you wanting?
Cards, letterheads, T-shirts.
Will the job be completed as camera ready?  Four-color process or line art.
What kind of print/web services would you like?  Letterheads, business cards, T-shirts, web cards, web design.

Q. What are your rates?
A. We bill out at a flat rate of $75.00 per hour. First, we give you a FREE estimate. Upon the receipt of a signed contract for services and a 50% deposit, we will begin work immediately. When the job is approved by the customer, the remaining 50% must clear before the artwork is delivered.

Q.  How long does it take?
A.  Our normal turnaround time is 10-14 working days depending on size and complexity of order.  Inquire for rush orders (an additional $25.00 per hour). We will endeavor to meet all deadlines as long as we are provided enough lead time for job completion.

Questions your printer will ask you...

Q. How many letterheads, business cards, and/or T-shirts do you need printed?
A. The more items you order, the lower the cost per item.

Q. How many colors are in your design?
A. The more colors in the job, the more it will cost.

Q. Do you have artwork?
A.  Printers charge for the art they create.  Most printers charge $75.00 to $100.00 per hour.  Some charge $25.00 to $75.00 per color.  If you have camera ready art, you will save money.  Camera ready art is art that requires no computer nor mechanical touch-ups. If you are happy with your art as is, then that is what will be printed WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).

Q. How many locations on a T-shirt would you like printed?
A.  Front, back, sleeve or any combination.

Questions your web designer will ask you...

Q. Can you forward a 24 bit (16.7 million colors) logo master by email or CD?
A. The sharper the logo the better it will look when optimized for the web.

Q. How many colors are in your design and what is their hexadecimal number?
A. Some specific or custom colors may have to be converted to "web safe" colors.

Q. Do you have custom artwork and/or pictures for your site?
A. All photographic and clip art designs must be optimized for web use. Web designers charge for the art they have to create or out-source. Most web designers charge $50.00 to $200.00 per hour. Web ready art is art that has been designed with the best computer graphic quality (24 bit, 16.7 million colors), and can easily be optimized for the web by the web designer. If you are happy with your art as is, then that is what will be optimized WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). Be forewarned: Any art submitted less than 24 bit (16.7 million colors) might look pretty poor on the web.
